2018 Earth Day Events
Earth Day is a perfect occasion to join the Sustainable Cheltenham campaign, hands-on. The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) encourages individuals and groups to join community-wide clean-ups, plantings, invasive removals or other activities on Saturday, April 21 and/or Sunday, April 22. Times and locations are flexible.
A coalition of Audubon, National Geographic, Birdlife International and The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has declared this the “Year of the Bird,” to inspire bird-related Earth Day efforts. In addition, the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford (TTF) Watershed Partnership is looking for groups or individuals willing to mark storm drains in all Cheltenham neighborhoods; TTF will provide free training and material.
